Now to start quilting

Hello Blogland

There's been an unintended quietness in my blogland. Crafting has been put aside while work has taken over. We celebrated the birth of new baby Tobias to our closest friends (isn't he adorable...)

but also sadly two funerals, one of which was for little Toby and his big brother Sam's (our Godson) Grandmother when Toby was just 2 weeks old.

But now deadlines are approaching for a quilt to be made for one of our neighbour who is turning 3 and I volunteered to make a doona cover for a dear friend which has been sitting on my craft table for almost 2 weeks now. So there is going to be some serious late nights coming up in the next week (and I'm already up until midnight every night) and also a trip to Melbourne for Isabella, Mum & I this weekend. I hope the sewing machine remembers what it's supposed to do.

Before my blog-break I did manage to finish Isabella's Oliver & S jacket for her to take to Melbourne. Bad bad photos, but the battery in the camera is flat as a tack. The outside is a Caramel coloured Cashmere Wool and the inside is a Heather Ross print. Perfectly warm and toasty for the cold Melbourne weather.

If I can squeeze some time in before we fly out on Saturday morning, I have a nightgown ready to sew in my draw that has been sitting there for so long it's kind of embarrassing.
